On November 10, 2022, the TLC Elektrougli (OTT LLC) received the first batch of containers from China with auto components for the conveyor assembly of cars at the Moskvich plant. According to Moscow Mayor S.S. Sobyanin, the Moskvich car plant will be launched in December 2022. The plant is currently preparing for large-unit assembly of cars. Work on the production of cars will begin at the end of this year. The Moscow Government and PJSC KAMAZ confirmed the large-unit assembly of 600 cars, of which 200 are electric cars, by the end of 2022. By 2023, the Moskvich plant will assemble at least 50 thousand cars. The full production cycle with welding and painting of bodies is scheduled for 2024.
