The Moscow Urban Development and Land Commission (GZK) has approved the boundaries for the development of land use planning projects for the construction of the terminal and logistics centers (TLC) "Lyublino" in the southeast of the capital, "Kuntsevo II" in the west of the city, as well as "Khovrino" and "Severyanin" in the north and northeast of Moscow, respectively.
"The program for the development of terminal and logistics centers for the period up to 2020 includes the closure of a number of existing freight yards, the reconstruction of existing ones with the subsequent construction of TLCs in their place to create the most convenient redistribution of goods for the needs of the city of Moscow and the creation of new TLCs."
The freight yards "Moscow - Tovarnaya - Smolenskaya", "Moscow - Butyrskaya", "Moscow - Tovarnaya - Kurskaya" and others are subject to closure. The formation of the new TLCs "Lyublino" in the South-Eastern Administrative District and "Khovrino" in the Northern Administrative District is being implemented in the right-of-way of the railway. The Moscow-II-Mitkovo freight yard in the east of the city will be used to process postal items.
