The turn of Russian exports from West to East has increased the role of the Siberian Federal District in the logistics chain. This is evidenced by a number of agreements signed at the XXVII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) in the field of creation and development of transport and logistics centers in the regions of the Siberian Federal District. The stake on logistics hubs was also confirmed by the participants of the XI International Siberian Transport Forum (STF) held in Novosibirsk.
As the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Novosibirsk Transport Terminal Alexander Kakhidze specified at the plenary session of the Siberian Transport Forum, the TLC is a striking example of the implementation of a project in the format of a "freight village". It will become the logistics core of the first special economic zone of industrial and production type being created in the Novosibirsk Region, as well as the largest industrial and logistics park in Siberia. It is planned to place about fifty new enterprises in the SEZ.
